For those who frequent this site, It has probably come to your attention that I have not been updating this site with new content compared to previous years. It may seem like I have nothing cooking in the kitchen right now, but that couldn't be further from the truth. 

 

For those who don’t follow my Instagram, last year I announced I will be working on a graphic novel series featuring the Smoking Serpents. In fact today, October 6th, 2022, marks the one-year anniversary since I begin working on the first page. I have gotten very far but this journey is long from even seeing the finish line. This is a single-person project meaning I am doing the writing, illustrating, inking, editing, and storyboarding. I am also working on my associates at uni as well as my janitorial job, so this will be a very long process, much longer than you think. But I assure you I will get there because this is my purpose in life and nothing else. 

 

The story will follow the aftermath of the Seigun rebellion, leaving the daughter of a samurai general to complete his wishes alone in an honorless world. In an effort to prove herself, she must enlist six samurai warriors across the island of Tekkan to aid her in protecting a village from greedy samurai bandits. A story heavily based on the cinematic legend; Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai and Yojimbo. 

 

I am very excited to see the day this project gets finished, and hopefully, spawns something more significant for the Immortalize Universe. I will sometimes post small-scaled content now and then (Ex, Hushin rework for the Lunar new year). But I will be primarily focused on the graphic novel. This site is not dead, just working on something huge!
