Protector Totems are ancient, religious statues mainly used by the Shilonese and sometimes foreign nations to keep out spiritual threats and demons. They often depict protector deities such as Qington Shizi, the bronze lion that guards the Celestial Court, and Genbu, the black tortoise of the north, who symbolizes longevity and the innate will to live.
