Protector Totems

Protector Totems are ancient, religious structures mainly used by the Shilonese to keep out spiritual threats and demons. They were originally used to worship the great turtle of the mountain, but then a local peasant who sculpted one sworn it shielded his farm from evil spirits. It is believed that the great turtle of the mountain transfers his energy to these-said totems, in which that energy would protect the owner’s house or village from evil curses and instead bestow good luck. It’s uncertain if these totems actually work, but its religious presence has overcome this purpose in modern times.
