Taramamu is a lingering, disturbing spirit that has watched time pass over Kudao for tens of thousands of years, she is told to be the oldest entity that walks the planet this day. According to ancient text and fables, Taramamu was once an ambitious empress that sought to bring her kingdom immortality. She was mighty, ruthless, and let nothing delay her reign. But once her stubbornness outgrew her reasoning, she demanded one of the most dangerous powers of all; time. She fearlessly shouted towards the heavens, commanding Shenhai, the creator of all things, to grant her the power she deserved. While on top of the corpses of a thousand foes, and an iron fist, Shenhai answered back. The power to control time was bestowed upon her, as well as the curse of infinite immortality.

Ascended, Tarramamu had the power to stop, slow down, and occasionally fast-forwarding time, how it felt ever so liberating. But all those who climb up the highest mountain will find nowhere else to continue their journey. Taramamu felt fulfilled, yet empty at the same time. There was nothing else to seize, nor there wasn't a destiny for her, she watched as the tales of her allies came to a close and faded, without her.

Over time, the vacant realm of absolute nothingness Taramamu has been trapped in for eons has driven her to insanity. She called upon to Shenhai once again and urged him to release her from this desolate void, but Shenhai did not answer back. Taramamu cursed her immortality upon its name, trying to deny its power so she can finally rest. However, these attempts have only seemed to make things worse. Her legs have deformed into the legs of a spider, and the mortal weight within her neck was forcibly severed, corrupting her an 8 legged demon with the neck of a snake. She became nothing more than an empty husk of what she used to be, nothing more than a walking corpse.

 

Ancient settlers viewed her as an evil spirit that offered nothing but dread, but she wants nothing more than to fade away. With her loved ones dead, and everyone else trembling in fear in response to the hideous monster shes become, her curse condemned her in ruins, alone, and forever in agony. Slaved by the promise a once great, yet greedy warrior foolishly made 100 thousand years ago. To maintain the sands of time and to keep the clock ticking, Taramamu's soulless body will roam the mortal realm until Kudao's final reckoning, hoping one day she will wither away too.
